Don't miss the month of November in Umbria, when you can participate in Frantoi Aperti, dedicated to the promotion of extra virgin olive oil DOP Umbria and tourism in the countryside during the pressing period, organised by the Extra Virgin Olive Oil Road DOP Umbria. Four consecutive weekends to visit the Umbria of oil mills, see first-hand the work behind the olive harvest and oil production, the small medieval villages of Umbria often off the usual tourist routes, squares, palaces, theatres, olive groves, farms, agritourisms and trattorias. Guided tours of towns, children's entertainment, cooking lessons, trekking in the olive groves, exhibitions and unusual openings of places such as medieval castles, Romanesque churches and abbeys are organised.
